Privacy policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

This policy explains how the Chezoo app handles your information. Chezoo is published by Solvitas Innovations Ltd (“we”, “us”). The short version: what you put into the app stays on your phone, unless you play over Wi-Fi with friends or choose to share or back it up. We run no servers that receive it, and the app has no analytics, no ads, no accounts and no tracking.

What the app keeps on your phone

To run your games, the app saves the following on your device only:

  • the names, genders and avatars you give to players;
  • your settings, such as language, sound and which spice levels are allowed;
  • game history, scores and saved games;
  • content packs you create or import.

We never receive a copy of any of this. It stays on the device until you delete it (see “Removing your data” below).

Camera

The camera is used only to scan the QR code a friend shows you to join their room. The image is read on your phone to find the room details. It is not saved, and it is not sent anywhere. You can say no to camera access and type the room code instead.

Playing over the same Wi-Fi

When you host or join a room, the app uses your local network to find nearby rooms and to connect the phones in it. This is why your phone asks for local network access. While you play together:

  • your player profile (name and avatar) and game data (such as answers, votes and scores) are sent directly to the other phones in the room;
  • the connection runs over your Wi-Fi network or hotspot, between the phones, and is encrypted;
  • nothing passes through our servers, and we cannot see it.

The other players in the room can see what the game shows them, just as if you were playing on one phone. Only join rooms with people you know. Playing on one phone uses no network at all.

Backups, exports and sharing

These only happen when you start them:

  • Phone backups. If you have turned on iCloud or Google backup for your phone, the app’s data may be included in that backup, under the settings and terms of that service.
  • Exporting packs. When you export a pack, the app makes a file and hands it to the place you pick, such as a chat app or your files.
  • Sharing and copying. When you share a room code, copy text or use a share button, the app passes it to the app you choose. That includes the prompt tool for making packs: it copies a prompt for you to paste into an AI assistant of your choice. The app does not contact any AI service itself.

Once you share something with another app or service, their privacy policy applies to it.

What we do not do

  • No analytics or usage tracking.
  • No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
  • No accounts or cloud profiles.
  • No sale or sharing of your information with anyone.
  • No location tracking. The local network is used only to find and connect to rooms.

Children

Chezoo is built for groups of friends and families. Because the app sends us nothing, we do not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Party games keep their most adult level, Moto, switched off until someone confirms they are 18 or older.

Removing your data

You can delete players, packs and saved games inside the app at any time. To remove everything, uninstall the app; this deletes all of its data from the phone. If your phone keeps a backup, delete the app’s data from that backup too. Our support page has the steps. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling information in a new way, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version of the app is released.
